About this tool: The traditional Hawaiian lunar calendar — 30 named nights per cycle, each carrying generations of fishing and planting knowledge from kūpuna (elders). Tonight’s Mahina is shown at the top; the full cycle follows organised into the three ʻanahulu (10-night periods). The system is real working knowledge: many Hawaiian farmers and fishermen still consult Mahina before scheduling work.
